Scientific Foundations of The Flow Method® and Body Decode Method®
The Flow Method® and Body Decode Method® were developed through an interdisciplinary exploration of how subconscious belief systems, emotional experiences, and physical health interact.
These frameworks integrate insights from psychology, neuroscience, mind-body medicine, and emerging research in consciousness studies to create structured methods for identifying and transforming root-cause patterns.
While the work may appear intuitive from the outside, the underlying frameworks are highly structured and grounded in repeatable pattern recognition
Fields That Inform the Methods
Psychology and Subconscious Patterning
Research in psychology has long demonstrated that subconscious belief systems shape behavior, emotional responses, and life outcomes.
The Flow Method® builds on this understanding by identifying how belief patterns cluster into specific areas of life experience.
Neuroscience and Emotional Encoding
Neuroscience research shows that emotionally significant events are encoded deeply within neural networks and influence future perception and behavior.
The methodologies incorporate structured processes for identifying and transforming these encoded patterns.
Mind–Body Medicine
Decades of research in mind–body medicine demonstrate the relationship between emotional states, stress patterns, and physical health.
The Body Decode Method® explores how physical symptoms often reflect deeper emotional and psychological patterns.
Pattern Recognition and Systems Thinking
Both methodologies rely heavily on pattern recognition — identifying repeating structures across life experiences, emotional responses, and physical symptoms.
Through years of application across diverse clients, consistent patterns emerged that form the basis of the frameworks taught in the certification programs.
Development of the Frameworks
The Flow Method® emerged from years of investigating why some individuals experience persistent life patterns despite conscious efforts to change.
Through extensive research across psychology, energetic medicine, quantum physics, and consciousness studies, a repeatable structure began to appear.
These insights eventually evolved into a structured framework for identifying subconscious belief architecture across seven primary areas of life experience.
The Body Decode Method® later expanded this work by identifying patterns in how physical symptoms correspond with emotional and belief-based experiences.
Academic and Research Context
The Flow Method® and Body Decode Method have been presented at the Science of Consciousness Conference at the University of Arizona, a global interdisciplinary forum exploring the nature of consciousness.
The work continues to evolve through practitioner application, case observation, and ongoing research into the relationship between belief systems, emotional processing, and physical health. Find out more about the ongoing research in the Resource Library and The Institute pages,
From Theory to Application
Unlike purely theoretical models, these frameworks were developed through direct application with thousands of individuals across diverse backgrounds and complex life circumstances.
The goal was not simply to understand the connection between beliefs, emotions, and health — but to create structured processes that allow practitioners to identify root causes and guide meaningful transformation.
Ongoing Evolution of the Work
Like any emerging field, the methodologies continue to evolve as practitioners apply the frameworks and new patterns are identified.
Through the Institute for Holistic and Intuitive Science and the growing practitioner network, the work continues to expand while maintaining rigorous training standards.
Become a Certified Practitioner
The Flow Method® and Body Decode Method® are entering a new phase of expansion as the first global practitioner network is established.
Tara is currently training the Founding 100 Practitioners — an inaugural group who will help bring these methodologies to the world.
Members of this founding cohort receive:
• direct training and apprenticeship with the founder
• early access to new framework developments
• founding practitioner recognition
• priority listing in the official practitioner directory
If you feel called to be among the first practitioners trained in these methodologies, we invite you to learn more about the certification program.
